“Jesus, the Very Considered Thee” by St. Bernard of Clairvaux

10.25 JesusTheVeryThoughtOfThee_BlogHeader

Jesus, the very considered Thee
With sweetness fills my breast;
However sweeter far Thy face to see
And in Thy presence relaxation.

Nor voice can sing, nor coronary heart can body,
Nor can the mem’ry discover
A sweeter sound than Thy blest title,
O Savior of mankind.

O hope of ev’ry contrite coronary heart,
O pleasure of all of the meek,
To those that fall how form Thou artwork,
How good to those that search!

However what to those that discover? Ah, this
Nor tongue nor pen can present;
The love of Jesus, what it’s
None however His family members know.

Jesus, our solely pleasure be Thou,
As Thou our prize wilt be;
Jesus, be Thou our glory now
And thru eternity.
