“God Relaxation Ye Merry, Gents”

01.11 GodRestYeMerryGentlemen

God relaxation ye merry, gents,
Let nothing you dismay;
Keep in mind Christ our Savior
Was born on Christmas Day
To save lots of us all from Devil’s energy
After we have been gone astray.

O tidings of consolation and pleasure,
Consolation and pleasure;
O tidings of consolation and pleasure.

In Bethlehem, in Israel,
This blessèd babe was born
And laid inside a manger
Upon this blessèd morn,
The which His mom Mary
Did nothing absorb scorn.

From God our heav’nly Father
A blessèd angel got here
And unto sure shepherds
Introduced tidings of the identical,
How that in Bethlehem was born
The Son of God by identify.

“Worry not,” then mentioned the angel,
“Let nothing you affright
This present day is born a Savior
Of a pure virgin shiny
To free all those that belief in Him
From Devil’s energy and would possibly.”

The shepherds at these tidings
Rejoicèd a lot in thoughts
And left their flocks a-feeding
In tempest, storm, and wind
And went to Bethl’em straightway
This blessèd Babe to search out.

Now to the Lord sing praises
All you inside this place,
And with real love and brotherhood
One another now embrace;
This holy tide of Christmas
All others doth deface.
