Praying By the Symbols of Easter | The Cross, The Lamb, and the Dogwood Tree

Heavenly Father, You write tales in timber and flowers, stars and rivers. The dogwood stands as a quiet testimony— a tree twisted by sorrow, but topped in bloom. We see in its form the cross. We see in its petals the ache of Good Friday… and in its bloom, the glory of Resurrection Sunday. Lord, our lives, too, bear wounds. However You don’t waste our ache. You employ it, redeem it, rework it into one thing that speaks of Your love. Allow us to be just like the dogwood—rooted within the cross, marked by mercy, rising in grace. When individuals take a look at our lives, could they see the fantastic thing about redemption, the proof of a Savior who turns sorrow into music. Amen.
