One thing that occurred after the latest election caught my eye. Whereas being launched by President Trump as our nation’s subsequent vice chairman, Usha Vance gave her husband J.D. a glance that each man pines for. Wives, that is what that look seems to be like, why such a glance issues, and what it might probably do to your marriage.
I problem husbands much more typically than I problem wives on this Substack, which I feel follows the apostle Paul’s sample of placing the final problem on males (that complete “Love your wives like Christ liked the church, who gave himself up for her” factor). However as a pastor, I work with so many males who pour themselves out for his or her households, typically getting little recognition or appreciation. No want for us to complain, males: loving our households is our job and a servant shouldn’t anticipate thanks (Luke 17:9). However I want wives knew how even a bit gesture can imply a lot to a person. One man advised me, “When my spouse compliments me, I can stay on that flatter for months.”
Not hours. Not days. Not weeks. Months.
